15 May 2025 — The Malaysian Social Institute (ISM) held a TOT AGS programme at the Wisma Wanita Mini Galleria Hall in Kota Kinabalu. Thirty-eight participants from state and federal agencies attended the Borneo-level programme.
Established in 2024, the Tribunal for Anti-Sexual Harassment (TAGS) provides an alternative platform to improve the handling of sexual harassment complaints through a simpler, faster and lower-cost process. TOT AGS trainers communicate information about TAGS to the community. The session also reviewed the findings, outcomes and impact of workshops conducted throughout 2024 and planned improvements and follow-up strategies for future programmes.
The programme also strengthened integration between state and federal government in Sabah and Sarawak, supporting ISM's mission to become a centre of excellence in social development through training, research and strategic collaboration. As the department responsible for women's affairs in Sabah, JHEWA welcomes programmes that empower women and communities. JHEWA supports ISM's efforts and is ready to participate actively and collaborate on anti-sexual harassment programmes in the state.
