Kota Kinabalu, 14 July 2025 — The Sabah Childcare Services Association announced the successful completion of its two-day introductory course on setting up a childcare centre and first aid, held on 12 and 13 July 2025 at Dewan MPMS, Kota Kinabalu, from 8.30 am to 5 pm.
The course was officially opened by Puan Azliana Misrah, JHEWA Deputy Director, representing the department's Director. Her presence recognised and encouraged participants and demonstrated departmental support for improving childcare and child safety in childcare institutions.
The course was supported by an activity grant for women's associations registered with JHEWA. It aimed to develop understanding of childcare institutions' contributions to women, families, communities and the country, focusing on the care and education of children aged 0–4 and first aid while awaiting medical assistance.
The programme received a warm response from childcare workers, centre administrators and local residents interested in improving management and safety skills. The training is expected to help them protect the safety and wellbeing of the children in their care.
The Sabah Childcare Services Association is committed to strengthening Sabah's childcare sector through quality training initiatives to support a brighter future for the next generation.
**Closing:**
The successfully completed course is expected to benefit all participants and strengthen efforts to improve childcare and child safety in Sabah.
